Top 5 iOS Film & Television Apps in UAE Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the iOS platform in the United Arab Emirates saw notable activity among the top five film and television apps. According to Sensor Tower data, these apps exhibited diverse trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Shahid - ﺷﺎﻫﺪ from MBC Group recorded a fluctuation in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $219K at the beginning of July and peaking at $248K by the end of September. The app's weekly downloads remained relatively stable, hovering around 3K to 3.5K, while weekly active users experienced a slight decline from 35.6K to around 30.8K over the quarter.

Disney+ saw its weekly revenue increase from $93K in early July to a high of $127K by the end of September. Weekly downloads started strong at 6.1K but gradually decreased to approximately 5.4K. Despite this, its weekly active users showed an upward trend, rising from 78K to around 82K.

OSN+ demonstrated a steady rise in weekly revenue, reaching a peak of nearly $70K by the end of September. However, weekly downloads declined from 4.8K in early July to 3.1K at the quarter's end. Weekly active users also saw a slight decrease from 21.2K to 19K.

STARZ ON experienced a positive trajectory in weekly revenue, starting at $23K and climbing to $44K over the quarter. Downloads were relatively low, fluctuating between 1.2K to 2.6K. The app's active users showed a modest decline, moving from 18.9K to 16.1K.

Finally, Netflix exhibited consistent performance with weekly revenue rising from $31K to $34K by the end of September. Downloads saw a downward trend, starting from 9.6K and ending at 7.7K. Weekly active users decreased slightly, from 140.8K to 122.3K during the quarter.
